Two-layer parquet is a premium choice when you want good thermal efficiency and a very natural look. The layered construction is stable and conducts heat well — frequently used in underfloor-heating projects. The main advantage: it works in any design thanks to finish and laying-pattern variety (Chevron, Herringbone). Personalisation is a real plus, especially where shade and texture complement the rest of the finishes.
Kulttur offers two-layer parquet in various styles, single-strip boards, finishes and rigorous resistance standards — essential for multiple sandings.

Three-layer parquet, executed 100% from natural wood, is the choice when the project demands stability and comfort. It's designed for large surfaces, open-space layouts and situations requiring predictable behaviour under temperature and humidity variation. In many projects it's also a good choice for underfloor heating, thanks to the layered construction. In short, the engineered parquet you pick for the long term.
We offer varied design options including 1- or 3-strip boards and specific laying patterns. Thanks to our joining system, the parquet can be installed quickly and used immediately.

Hywood is a multi-layer parquet technology from the TerHürne collection. A fit when you want a premium look and a modern solution with carefully curated finish selections. In this category you'll also find standout models — Herringbone collections included.

Reach the comfort you want with engineered parquet for underfloor heating. At Kulttur we understand the importance of efficient thermal output — that's why we work with engineered parquet designed for underfloor systems, both water-based and electric. Thanks to its stable construction, engineered parquet conducts heat excellently and offers dimensional stability through layered boards.

Go with three-layer engineered parquet for better stability and more predictable behaviour over time, especially under temperature and humidity variations. The 3-layer cross-grain construction reduces internal tensions and performs well on generous surfaces.
Choose an engineered parquet collection that is underfloor-heating compatible and prioritise heat transfer through a correct full system — parquet + installation + substrate. As a rule of thumb, avoid thick insulation under the parquet (it blocks heat), and keep the total thermal resistance below 0.15 m²K/W.
Look for usual thicknesses of 12–14 mm and a construction with a substantial wear layer — this matters for resistance and later reconditioning. In such projects the wear layer must allow multiple sandings and the finish should be chosen for traffic.
Two-layer engineered parquet is very good when you have a correctly-made screed, good humidity control and more fragmented surfaces (rooms, not a huge open-space). You keep the premium look and the noble wood top layer without the extra cost of a three-layer build.
Herringbone and Chevron are excellent for premium projects but come with higher installation cost and greater material waste from the start. Worth it when design is a priority — and when the boards are factory-designed for that pattern; standard-board adaptations produce visible joints and extra consumption.
In short
For large, premium projects pick stability (usually three-layer parquet); for underfloor heating pick thermal efficiency and a correct complete system; and for design pick the right laying pattern (Classic, Herringbone or Chevron) with a realistic install budget.

Engineered parquet has multiple layers with a noble wood top layer, while solid parquet is a single piece. Engineered parquet is often chosen for better stability and easier compatibility with underfloor heating.
On a dry and perfectly flat substrate. In premium projects, gluing is frequently preferred for stability, and the tongue and groove system ensures precise jointing.
Yes. We help you correctly choose the collection, finish and complete system, especially for underfloor heating, large spaces or Herringbone/Chevron installation.
With finish-appropriate products and as little water as possible. Regular cleaning and prevention beat quick fixes, and reconditioning is planned based on traffic levels.
