How to choose the right exterior door

A good exterior door must be safe, insulating and adapted to its installation location. For a house entrance door directly exposed to rain and wind, the profile, insulating panel or glass (on glazed models), seals and thermal threshold all matter.

Equally important is the security package: multi-point lock, security cylinder, solid hinges and, on premium models, options such as fingerprint reader or keypad.

An exterior door can be single, double, pivot, with side-light or without. The choice depends on opening width, hallway light needs, swing direction and facade look.

The difference between a house and an apartment exterior door is mainly about exposure: for a house, weather resistance and thermal insulation matter; for an apartment, acoustic insulation and security, without direct contact with rain. That's why we recommend discussing with a consultant to choose the right entrance door.

Configurations for made-to-order exterior doors

At Kulttur we configure exterior doors to each project. Dimensions, opening type, glazing, colour and accessories are adapted so the door fits both aesthetically and technically with the facade. Uși de exterior cu geam

Ușile de exterior cu geam aduc lumină naturală în holul de intrare și dau profunzime fațadei, fără să compromită izolația sau securitatea. O ușă de exterior cu geam poate fi configurată cu 10 tipuri de sticlă: transparentă, satinată sau decorativă. Rezistența la efracție RC2 sau RC3 este disponibilă pe toate modelele vitrate. Ușile de exterior cu geam sunt disponibile atât în variantele din aluminiu, cât și în cele din lemn, simple, duble sau cu pui lateral.

Feronerie și sisteme de acces

Feroneria ușii de intrare se alege în funcție de nivelul de securitate dorit. Ușile de intrare Kulttur pot fi configurate cu peste 50 de modele de încuietori inteligente, scanere de amprentă, acces cu cod sau alarmă integrată. Accesoriile se aleg individual, la comandă. Pentru proiecte cu cerințe tehnice speciale precum uși antiefracție de clasă superioară sau sisteme integrate smart home, putem recomanda soluții dedicate, adaptate specificațiilor proiectului.

Exterior doors for passive houses and NZEB buildings

In passive houses, villas and NZEB buildings, the exterior door must contribute to energy performance, not be a weak point. That means optimal thermal-coefficient panel or glass, thermally-broken profile, effective seals and thermal threshold — plus correctly executed installation.

Both aluminium and wood exterior doors can be configured for NZEB projects, with appropriate glazing packages and sealing details adapted to the energy designer's recommendations.
