The Agstein exterior door belongs to the Zeitlos Modern collection, a range designed for contemporary homes that seek the balance between minimalist form and the substance of natural materials. Positioned as a premium transition element between interior and exterior, this door combines understated aesthetics with high-performance engineering, crafted for owners who refuse compromise on quality and durability.

The door's construction rests on solid laminated timber, with a robust frame and integrated insulation throughout its 68-millimetre thickness. Austrian timber is rigorously selected and treated to ensure dimensional stability over decades of use. The finish is available in lacquered or custom-painted options, allowing perfect alignment with each property's architectural identity. The surface can be tailored in colour, texture, and tactile qualities to reflect the specific design intent.

Thermal performance stands as a defining strength, with a Ud coefficient reaching as low as 0.8 W/m²K, placing this door among the most efficient external closure solutions available. Triple sealing with high-performance EPDM profiles eliminates air and water infiltration, even in demanding weather conditions. This robust construction ensures long-term reliability and significant energy consumption reduction—essential factors in a modern, sustainable home.

Visual character is marked by clean lines and balanced proportions, hallmarks of the Zeitlos Modern direction. The door adapts seamlessly to minimalist façades as well as those featuring raw material accents. Available in standard and custom dimensions, it can be specified with tailored opening mechanisms based on aperture orientation and project requirements.

It integrates successfully into individual houses, contemporary villas, or high-end residential projects, complementing natural timber floors, polished concrete, or premium paving. Its subtle yet substantial presence makes this door a defining reference point in architecture where both understated beauty and long-term technical performance matter equally.

Frequently asked questions

The Agstein door leaf features a multi-layer laminated solid wood construction that combines stability and durability. Cross-laminated structure prevents wood warping under temperature and humidity fluctuations, a common issue with solid timber; additionally, weight and rigidity are uniformly distributed, and thermal insulation is maintained throughout the 68 mm thickness.

The Agstein door's thermal coefficient Ud reaches 0.8 W/m²K, an excellent value for an exterior door offering superior thermal insulation – comparable to passive house and low-energy building requirements. The multi-layer construction with integrated insulation and triple EPDM sealing ensures minimal heat loss.

Agstein features triple EPDM sealing – a high-quality elastomer tape installed in three layers around the frame and leaf edges. The system absorbs thermal expansion and wind pressure fluctuations, preventing water and air infiltration. EPDM remains flexible and durable for decades, even under UV and extreme weather conditions.

Agstein is available with lacquered finish (natural pale wood appearance) or custom painted. If you choose painting, you can select any standard RAL color or request a custom shade; clear lacquer preserves the texture of Austrian wood. All finishes are applied in the Austrian factory, ensuring uniformity and long-term durability.

The Agstein door is installed using a standard system with concealed hinges and adjustable frame (horizontally and vertically), compatible with wooden, metal, or composite frames. Installation in solid masonry, brick, concrete, and any modern wall construction is achieved through frame anchoring and polyurethane foam sealing. We recommend installation by certified technicians to ensure perfect sealing and smooth operation.

For lacquered doors: clean gently with a damp cloth and neutral detergent, then dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasives or strong solvents. For painted doors: a soft cloth and warm water suffice; re-lacquer every 5–10 years if in intense UV areas. EPDM seals require no special maintenance, but inspect visually annually and replace if cracked. Hinges and handles need light oil every 2–3 years.
