Ample glazing, fluid transition between living and terrace

Lift-slide terrace doors

Lift-slide terrace doors are the right solution when you want wide openings, generous glazing and a fluid transition between living space and exterior. In the premium segment, they are part of the architecture — how they slide, seal, align with the floor and integrate into the facade all matter. At Kulttur we configure Internorm systems for projects where design and performance must work together: new builds, full renovations, architect-led projects and energy-efficient homes with open-plan spaces.

Lift-slide door models

2 products

Below the two main systems in the range, each with its clear role in a project. Both are made for large glazing, in-use comfort and clean architectural integrationHS 330 (timber/aluminium) and KS 430 (PVC/aluminium).

HS 330 and KS 430 models

Internorm HS 330 timber-aluminium lift-slide door

HS 330 — timber / aluminium

Wood warmth inside + aluminium protection outside. For architect-led premium projects with NZEB requirements where coherence with timber-aluminium windows matters.

Internorm KS 430 PVC-aluminium lift-slide door

KS 430 — PVC / aluminium

Peak thermal performance + minimal maintenance. For NZEB homes and multi-opening projects, coherent with PVC-aluminium windows.

Internorm HX 300 panoramic system with lift-slide doors

Complete Internorm window and lift-slide door systems

Internorm doesn't treat the lift-slide door as an isolated piece. It's part of a complete system of windows, glazing and large glass surfaces. Walls visually disappear, interior extends naturally to terrace and garden.

HX 300 systems allow glazed surfaces up to 10.5 m², with very discreet glass joins, frames nearly fully integrated into facade, clean joinery-to-sills transitions — remarkable panoramic effect. A lift-slide door can be part of a coherent glazed wall.

Internorm products are designed to match. Same surfaces, same colours, same glazing family deliver whole-house continuity. For premium projects, this matters enormously.

When to choose a lift-slide terrace door

When it's the right fit

  • Want large openings and clear connection between living and outside.
  • Large glazed surfaces, preserve natural light.
  • Building premium — triple glazing, sealing, threshold matter.
  • Project demands architectural integration, not just a functional solution.
  • Need a system configurable by colour, glass, handle and install detail.

When it's not the right fit

  • Looking for a cheap balcony closure, no real insulation needs.
  • Simple terrace — you just want a sliding door, no interest in sealing/threshold/install detail.

Lift-slide door configurations

Kulttur's premium approach = two thermally insulated families: PVC/aluminium and timber/aluminium. Right choice depends on project.

PVC-aluminium or timber-aluminium

  • PVC/aluminium — strong thermal performance, minimal maintenance, predictable for multi-opening projects, good cost/performance. Completes PVC-aluminium windows.
  • Timber/aluminium — warmth and natural texture inside, premium atmosphere, coherence with parquet/furniture/finishes. Links naturally to timber-aluminium windows.

Glass package

  • Triple glazing for energy performance (NZEB standard).
  • Acoustic options for traffic or exterior noise.
  • Tempered or laminated glass where positioning requires. For total coherence, the discussion naturally continues on PVC windows.

Security, hardware, threshold

  • Low threshold for fluid transition and clean floor integration.
  • Handles in varied designs for whole-home coherence.
  • Smooth gliding, even for large leaves (up to 400 kg).
  • Standard safety glass + project-specific configurations.
  • For south/west orientations, solar and insect protection systems complete real comfort.

Lift-slide terrace doors

Generous openings between interior and garden

Internorm HS series allows sliding up to 12 metres wide with leaves up to 3 metres tall. The lift mechanism raises the leaf on unlock, eliminating friction and making operation fluid even for wide openings — key for homes with large terrace exposure.

Low threshold, detailed sealing

Low threshold, detailed sealing

Continuity between interior floor and terrace

Flush 0 mm threshold makes the transition invisible between living and terrace — ideal for premium homes where outside is part of the design. Multi-gasket sealing with drainage chamber for rainwater.

Frequently asked questions about lift-slide doors

A lift-slide door is designed for large openings, better sealing and superior comfort in use. It is not the same as a simple sliding door for light closures.

Yes. That is exactly what these systems do. They are premium thermally insulated solutions, suitable for terraces connected to living spaces, not just simple closures.

Yes. In many projects, solar control is planned together with the joinery, especially for strongly sun-facing orientations and large glazed surfaces.

Yes. You can combine the lift-slide door with fixed windows, panoramic glazing and other systems from the same family, with the same colour and glass logic.
