Laminate door models

13 products

The Kulttur collection offers a varied range of laminate interior doors — from minimalist models to glass-panel laminate doors, decors that faithfully imitate wood or modern textures (concrete, textiles, fine structures). All doors are made to order, so the same model series can be used throughout the project: living, bedroom, hallway, offices or accommodation spaces.

What are CPL and HPL laminate doors?

What are CPL and HPL laminate doors?

Laminate doors are interior doors whose visible surface is covered with a highly resistant laminate layer — either CPL or HPL — pressed at high temperature and pressure onto a stable core (usually MDF or laminated wood).

  • CPL (Continuous Pressure Laminate) is a continuously produced laminate, slightly thinner than HPL but very resistant for residential use and medium-high traffic projects.
  • HPL (High Pressure Laminate) is a high-pressure laminate, more 'solid' and robust, frequently used in high-use spaces: offices, hotels, institutions, common areas.
What does CPL door mean?

What does CPL door mean?

The simple answer: a door whose finish is made from very resistant laminate, more durable than standard paint and much more stable than most standard films.

These doors are especially suited for:

  • homes where heavy traffic is expected without visible marks after a few years;
  • bathrooms and humid spaces, when suitable laminate variants are chosen and proper ventilation is in place;
  • hotels, offices, clinics or commercial projects where the same door must look good for a long time.

Why choose CPL or HPL laminate doors?

Advantages of HPL/CPL laminate doors

  • high scratch and impact resistance – ideal for families with kids, pets or office/hotel-type projects;
  • suited to heavy traffic, both in homes and in institutional or commercial spaces;
  • very good dimensional stability – the door leaf 'moves' less with temperature and humidity changes than other solutions;
  • simple maintenance – easy to clean with a soft cloth and mild cleaners for washable surfaces;
  • wide range of decors – from very convincing wood imitations to concrete, textile or modern solid-colour finishes;
  • certain door models can be configured with up to 30-minute fire resistance, where the project requires it (e.g. garage-to-house doors or technical zones).

CPL and HPL laminate doors are designed for projects where long life and lasting appearance are essential:

For many projects, laminate doors become the ideal standard: they look good, behave well and need few interventions.

When laminate doors are NOT suitable (disadvantages)

  • texture and appearance can feel more 'technical' compared to natural wood – in projects strongly oriented toward authentic materiality, veneer or solid wood may be preferred;
  • they can't be repainted as easily as a painted door – if you want to fully change the colour a few years later, it's more complicated than with painted doors;
  • in ultra-luxury projects, where solid wood, sculpted panels or very special finishes are exclusively desired, laminate doors may be perceived as a more 'functional' rather than 'statement' solution.

There are also situations where laminate doors are not the first choice:

That's why in complex projects it's useful to combine laminate door ranges in high-traffic zones with other door types in spaces where you want a warmer or more luxurious note.

How to choose a laminate door for home or heavy-traffic projects?

1. Depending on the room

  • Living – choose laminate doors with glass or glazed panels to let light flow. If the living connects to the hallway or kitchen, a door with frosted or clear glass can visually open the space.
  • Bedroom – ideally solid laminate doors or frosted glass, with attention to sound insulation. Quiet matters here, not transparency.
  • Bathroom – CPL/HPL laminate doors can be a very good choice if the space is properly ventilated; opt for frosted glass or discreet ventilation slots.
  • Hallways and transit areas – solid laminate door, resistant to accidental impacts (luggage, bikes, children etc.).
  • Home office or workspace – a solid door with good sound insulation helps concentration.

2. Depending on traffic

  • Family with kids / pets – focus on high-resistance laminate (CPL or HPL), colours/decors that 'hide well' the daily marks of everyday life.
  • Residential spaces with multiple users – laminate doors are often the first choice: they resist wear better and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Commercial spaces, offices, hotels – HPL often becomes the standard here, offering the best combination of resistance and consistent long-term appearance.

3. Solid vs with glass

  • Solid doors – recommended for bedrooms, bathrooms (when you don't want glass), technical rooms or spaces where privacy is a priority.
  • Doors with glass – useful for living rooms, kitchens, hallways or offices where you want natural light. Choose clear, frosted, sandblasted or decorative glass based on the transparency you want.

4. Sound insulation

In bedrooms, offices and children's rooms, a solid-core laminate door with a correctly installed frame provides extra acoustic comfort. No special acoustic door is strictly needed; a well-chosen laminate model and professional installation can suffice for premium residential use.

Laminate doors with custom design

One of the main advantages of CPL/HPL laminate doors is design flexibility: wood-imitation decors (oak, walnut, beech, dark species) for warm looks; modern finishes — concrete, fine textures, solid colours — for minimalist or industrial interiors; the same decor range works for single, double, glass or sliding doors — for full-project coherence.

If the project includes other door types, we help you choose the right combinations of laminate, glass and colours, so each door does its job discreetly within the whole while preserving the design.

HPL/CPL laminate door prices

Laminate interior door prices start at approximately €385/door + VAT and rise with customisation: special dimensions, laminate type (CPL vs HPL), glass configuration, hardware and extra requirements (improved acoustic insulation, special models, 30-minute fire-rated doors etc.).
