Monopark Oak is an engineered parquet collection from the portfolio of Bauwerk Group, an Austrian manufacturer with a distinguished heritage in crafting premium wooden flooring solutions. European oak (Quercus robur) selected for this line delivers a natural, robust presence perfectly suited to both contemporary and classical interior environments. Certified FSC® Mix 70%, the collection reflects responsible forest stewardship principles that align with the values of a premium architecture and design showroom.

European oak wood presents a palette of tones ranging from pale beige to medium brown, with a distinctive natural texture characterised by visible grain and subtle colour variations between individual planks. The surface is available either as naturally oiled—which accentuates the wood grain and imparts a warm, organic aesthetic—or matte lacquered, which delivers robust protection and ease of maintenance. Regardless of finish, the constructive quality and treatment applied by Bauwerk ensure that each plank retains its integrity and beauty over time.

Monopark Oak planks measure 470 mm in length and 70 mm in width, with a total thickness of 9.6 mm and a 3 mm wear layer of solid European oak. The double-layered engineered construction (2-ply) ensures dimensional stability and minimises the risk of cupping and twisting—critical in environments with fluctuating humidity and temperature. The locking system accommodates both adhesive installation (bonded) and floating installation, providing flexibility depending on the application and whether underfloor heating is desired.

The product is fully compatible with radiant floor heating systems, opening possibilities for optimal thermal comfort in modern residential environments. Oak's natural durability, combined with the protection offered by the 3 mm wear layer and applied finish, ensures resistance to everyday wear in spaces with moderate to medium traffic—living areas, bedrooms, offices, and professional studios. Maintenance is straightforward: regular sweeping and damp mopping with a soft cloth, without aggressive treatments, to preserve the longevity of the floor and the character of the wood.

Monopark Oak is available in two sorting grades: 1-5 and 2-4. Grade 1-5 accepts greater variability in surface quality and wood appearance, including minor imperfections and pronounced colour variations—an ideal choice for rustic interiors, eclectic-bohemian projects, or clients who value the authentic character of timber. Grade 2-4 offers greater uniformity in tone and appearance, suited to contemporary or minimalist design schemes where aesthetic coherence is paramount. Both grades represent the same premium quality standard and can be combined creatively according to the designer's vision.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, the double-layer construction with 9.6 mm total thickness is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems and ensures efficient heat transfer. We recommend acclimatizing the material for 48 hours before installation and maintaining a maximum surface temperature of 27°C according to manufacturer guidelines.

Grade 1-5 allows greater natural wood variation including diverse tones, small knots, and growth lines for a rustic, characterful appearance. Grade 2-4 has stricter selection criteria with more uniform coloring and fewer natural imperfections, ideal for contemporary and minimalist interiors.

Oil-finished surfaces require regular dry or slightly damp cloth cleaning without excess water. Avoid harsh detergents; for annual deep maintenance, apply a specialized oil-based renewal product. This finish highlights the natural beauty of oak and allows easy localized repairs.

European oak in Monopark fits seamlessly into Scandinavian-rustic, industrial-contemporary, and traditional European design schemes. Its natural tone and double-layer structure create a versatile foundation for both classic furniture and minimalist accents. The 70 mm width proportions any space effortlessly.

Monopark Stejar allows both installation methods: glued directly to concrete, existing parquet, or wood substrate with proper substrate rigidity, and floating installation with wall-to-wall click system. Choose based on your substrate condition and preference for long-term stability (glued) or flexibility (floating).

With a 3 mm solid European oak wear layer and double-ply structure, Monopark Stejar delivers 20-25 years durability in typical living spaces. Compared to solid parquet, its advantage lies in superior dimensional stability from cross-ply backing, better underfloor heating compatibility, more accessible pricing, and identical visual appeal without compromise.
